WHAT IS AN INDEPENDENT ADOPTION?

Don't let the word "independent" scare you.  Independent doesn't mean alone.  You will be guided through the whole process by qualified people first in the US and then in Ukraine.  We will help you to prepare your adoption dossier by providing you with all the necessary information and the list of the required documents.

After your dossier is completed, we will make sure that everything is in tact, so there will no returns or delays in your adoption process.  Then your dossier is sent to Ukraine where it will be handled by the best facilitators/interpreters in Ukraine that will take over our work in the US. Our facilitators have been in business since 1999 and have successfully accomplished over 600 adoptions so far.

OUR MISSION

Ukrainian sweethearts are on a mission to help American families willing to independently adopt children from Ukraine.  Keeping in mind that the adoption process is a journey and not an event, we are willing to provide our clients with a peace of mind and assure them that we will be together in that process with them from the beginning to the end.

THE PROCESS

The adoption process consists of two parts.  First, you will have to prepare your adoption dossier in the US.  That might take from 6-8 weeks to 3-4 months depending on your personal circumstances.  We will provide with all the necessary information and the list of the documents required by the SDA (Ukrainian adoption center.)

After you complete your dossier, you will send it to us and we will run it by our Ukrainian partners to make sure that the dossier is accurate and requires no modifications.  If there are some inaccuracies, then you will be able to correct them before sending your dossier to Ukraine, which will save you time and money.

After your dossier is approved by the Ukrainian authority, you will actually mail your dossier to Ukraine and the process will start officially.  Although it is impossible to legally start the adoption process in Ukraine without having your dossier, our Ukrainian facilitators will start collecting data for you while you are preparing your dossier. So, by the time the dossier will reach Ukraine, they will already have some options available for you.
